The interregional educational forum of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan is taking place in the Republic of Uzbekistan from 5 to 10 February 2024. Today, on February 6, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivants met with the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongranbai Sharipov in Uzbekistan. The delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus is represented by eight rectors of Belarusian universities, including Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University Sergey Kharytonchyk.
The main topics for discussion at the meeting were the creation of the Belarusian-Uzbek scientific and technological consortium under the auspices of the two ministries, the organization of joint educational programs. In addition, the heads of ministries drew attention to the study of the Russian language by Uzbek students. A well-designed language learning program will allow students to fully assimilate the received educational material abroad. The solution of these tasks contributes to the development and improvement of methods of quality education.
During the visit, the Belarusian delegation also met with Minister of Preschool and School Education Khalila Umarova. During the negotiations, the parties considered the possibility of creating pedagogical classes, etc.
Patriotic education and participation in events aimed at civic education of Uzbek students were also included in the list of issues discussed at the meetings.
Today, among other things, Sergey Vasilyevich, as part of a delegation of rectors of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, visited the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz). NUUz hosted a round table dedicated to the development of cooperation between Belarusian and Uzbek universities.
