BNTU SIGNED A NUMBER OF COOPERATION AGREEMENTS WITH UNIVERSITIES OF THE REPUBLIC OF CUBA

БНТУ подписал ряд соглашений о сотрудничестве с университетами Республики Куба

Today, September 19, the Scientific and Technological Park of the BNTU "Polytechnic" became the place for the  negotiations, which took place between Belarusian technical higher educational institutions and universities of the Republic of Cuba regarding promising areas of cooperation in the field of education and science.

For reference: let us remind you that yesterday the guests visited the exhibition exposition of the Technological Park and got acquainted with the production process of components and parts at the Polytechnic pilot plant.

The Belarusian National Technical University was represented  by Rector Sergei Kharitonchik and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaichik. Negotiators from the Republic of Cuba were: the Rector of Guantanamo Bay University, Deputy of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba Osiris Aranda Creag and the rector of the Higher Mining and Metallurgical Institute Moa Yurisli Valdez Mariño.

In addition, as it was already mentioned, the meeting was attended by representatives of Baranovichi State University, Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, Brest State Technical University, Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies, Belarusian-Russian University, Gomel State Technical University named after  P. O. Sukhoi and Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk.

During the negotiations, all those present were given the floor. Dean of the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering Andrey Kologrivko and Head of the Department of Metallurgy of Ferrous and Non-ferrous Alloys Boleslav Nemenyonok shared their experience in educational and scientific work. Cuban colleagues, in turn, expressed interest in cooperation in such areas as geology, ecology, mining and electromechanics.

The result of the meeting was the signing of cooperation agreements between the Belarusian National Technical University and Guantanamo Bay University and Moa University named after Antonio Nez Jimenez.

The agreement provides for the implementation of plans for cooperation in the field of education and scientific research in the following areas:

  • exchange of experience in educational and methodological work;
  • exchange of textbooks and educational materials (curricula, teaching aids);
  • joint research in various areas of science and technology;
  • exchange of scientific and technical information, scientific work experience and search for various forms of scientific cooperation.

Colleagues from other Belarusian universities also signed a number of cooperation agreements with universities in the Republic of Cuba.
