General Information

In order to improve the training of highly qualified engineering and technical specialists for the industrial sectors of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to expand international cooperation in the field of higher education, the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications was established in the city of Tashkent by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Resolution No. PP-4524 dated November 20, 2019).

Based on the decision of the Council of the Belarusian National Technical University (hereinafter referred to as BNTU) (Minutes No. 2 dated March 10, 2020) and in accordance with Order No. 21-P dated March 12, 2020, the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications was established within the structure of BNTU.

The Institute is an independent structural unit of BNTU that ensures the implementation of BNTU’s educational and scientific activities, as well as academic and methodological work within the framework of the relevant educational profiles, fields of study, and specialist training programs.

The main objectives of the Institute are:

  • Training highly qualified engineering and technical specialists;
  • Development and implementation of joint educational programs (hereinafter referred to as JEPs) and forms of higher and professional education; introduction of advanced pedagogical and information technologies, as well as the latest achievements in science and technology into the educational process;
  • Improving the quality and level of academic and methodological work through the creation of JEPs approved by BNTU and the Founder, as well as through the publication of textbooks, teaching materials, and educational resources in relevant bachelor’s degree fields and master’s degree specialties;
  • Training, retraining, and professional development of specialists and scientific-pedagogical personnel through continuity and integration of education and science, as well as through integration into the global educational and scientific community;
  • Supporting the development of scientific and pedagogical potential, and actively improving teaching technologies and educational methods;
  • Conducting scientific research and implementing innovative projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechanics, industrial automation, biotechnology, metrology and standardization, as well as other areas of industrial production aimed at improving the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of production systems;
  • Creating conditions for close integration of education, science, and industry;
  • Developing and strengthening long-term cooperation with leading educational institutions, research centers, and business communities of foreign countries in the educational, scientific, and technological fields.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, the first admission of 380 students to the first year of the Joint Educational Programs was carried out.
