In order to improve the training of highly qualified engineering and technical personnel for the industries of the Republic of Uzbekistan, expand international cooperation in the field of higher education, by the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Decree of November 20, 2019 No. PP-4524), a joint Belarusian-Uzbek intersectoral institute of applied technical qualifications was established in the city Tashkent. Based on the decision of the Council of the Belarusian National Technical University (hereinafter referred to as BNTU) (minutes No. 2 dated March 10, 2020), in March 2020, a joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications was established within the structure of BNTU. The Institute is an independent subdivision of the BNTU, which ensures the implementation of BNTU educational and scientific activities, educational and methodological work within the framework determined by the profile of education, the direction of education, and the specialties of training specialists.
The main tasks of the Institute are:
- training of highly qualified engineering and technical personnel;
- development and implementation of joint educational programs (hereinafter referred to as JEPs) and forms of higher and professional education, introduction of advanced pedagogical and information technologies, the latest achievements of science and technology into the educational process;
- improving the quality and level of educational and methodological work by creating JEPs approved by the BNTU and the Founder, as well as by publishing textbooks, teaching aids, teaching materials in the relevant areas of undergraduate education and master's degree specialties;
- training, retraining and advanced training of specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel due to the continuity and succession of education and science, as well as integration into the world educational and scientific community;
- support for the development of scientific and pedagogical potential, active improvement of pedagogical technologies and teaching methods;
- scientific research, implementation of innovative projects in the field of mechanical engineering, mechanics, production automation, biotechnology, metrology and standardization, as well as other branches of industrial production, aimed at improving the efficiency, reliability and stability of the production systems;
- creation of conditions for close integration of education, science and production;
- development and strengthening of long-term relationships with leading educational institutions, research centers and business communities of foreign countries in the educational and scientific and technical fields.
In the 2019/20 academic year, the first enrollment of 380 students for the 1st year of the JEP was carried out.

Ўзбекистон Республикаси саноат тармоқлари учун юқори малакали муҳандислик-техник кадрлар тайёрлашни такомиллаштириш, олий таълим соҳасидаги халқаро ҳамкорликни кенгайтириш мақсадида Ўзбекистон Республикаси Президентининг қарори (2019 йил 20-ноябрдаги ПҚ-4524-сон Фармони)билан Тошкент шаҳрида Беларус-Ўзбекистон қўшма тармоқлараро амалий техник квалификациялар институти ташкил этилди. Белорусия миллий техник университети (кейинги ўринларда БМТУ) Кенгашининг (2020 йил 10 мартдаги 2-сонли баённомаси) қарорига биноан, 2020 йил март ойида БНТУ таркибида Беларус-Ўзбекистон қўшма тармоқлараро амалий техник квалификациялар институти ташкил этилди. Институт БМТУнинг мустақил бўлинмаси бўлиб, у БМТУнинг ўқув ва илмий фаолияти, муайян таълим йўналишлари, ўқув йўналишлари ва мутахассислар тайёрлаш доирасидаги ўқув-услубий ишларнинг бажарилишини таъминлайди.
Институтнинг асосий вазифалари:
- · Юқори малакали муҳандис кадрлар тайёрлаш;
- · Қўшма таълим дастурлари (кейинги ўринларда - ҚТД) ҳамда олий ва касб-ҳунар таълими ўқитиш шаклларини ишлаб чиқиш ва амалга ошириш, илғор педагогик ва ахборот технологияларини, фан ва техниканинг сўнгги ютуқларини ўқув жараёнига жорий этиш;
- · БМТУ ва Таъсисчи томонидан тасдиқланган ҚТДларни яратиш, шунингдек, дарслик, ўқув қўлланма, ўқув материалларини бакалавр таълимининг тегишли йўналишлари ва магистратура мутахассисликлари бўйича нашр этиш орқали ўқув-услубий ишларнинг сифати ва даражасини ошириш;
- · Таълим ва фаннинг узлуксизлиги, шунингдек глобал таълим ва илмий ҳамжамиятга интеграциялашуви туфайли мутахассислар ва илмий-педагогик кадрлар тайёрлаш, қайта тайёрлаш ва малакасини ошириш;
- · Илмий ва педагогик салоҳиятни ривожлантириш, педагогик технологиялар ва ўқитиш усулларини фаол равишда такомиллаштириш;
- · Машинасозлик, механика, ишлаб чиқаришни автоматлаштириш, биотехнология, метрология ва стандартлаштириш соҳасида, шунингдек саноат ишлаб чиқаришининг бошқа тармоқларида ишлаб чиқариш тизимларининг самарадорлиги, ишончлилиги ва барқарорлигини оширишга йўналтирилган илмий тадқиқотлар олиб бориш, инновацион лойиҳаларни амалга ошириш;
- · Таълим, фан ва ишлаб чиқаришнинг яқин интеграцияси учун шароитлар яратиш;
- · Этакчи ўқув юртлари, илмий марказлар ва хорижий мамлакатларнинг ишбилармон доиралари билан таълим, илмий ва техникавий соҳаларда узоқ муддатли алоқаларни ривожлантириш ва мустаҳкамлаш.
Қўшма таълим дастурлари (кейинги ўринларда - ҚТД) нинг 1-курсига биринчи қабул 2019/20 ўқув йилида амалга оширилди ва 380 талаба қабул қилинди.
