As part of the working visit to the Belarusian National Technical University, the delegation of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov and the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications held a series of meetings that covered both the student audience and the leadership of specialized faculties.
The delegation included Mannanov Ulugbek Vasikovich, Head of the Department of International Relations and Projects at TSTU, Mirzaliev Sanjar Makhamadjon ugli, Executive Director of the SBUIMPTK, and Shults Alexey Viktorovich, a 3rd-year doctoral student at TSTU specializing in Automation and Control of Technological Processes. On behalf of BNTU, the events were attended by Elena Khodan, Director of the Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications, and Nikolai Vishnyakov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation.
The meeting with the Uzbek students studying at BNTU was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The delegation members welcomed the students, emphasized the importance of their successful studies, and encouraged them to work productively during the upcoming academic period. The guests emphasized that each student is not only a representative of their country, but also a link between universities, and their future professional achievements will contribute to strengthening Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation.
The students actively engaged in the dialogue and asked questions of interest. The topics discussed included the organization of the educational process, opportunities for academic mobility, the rules for staying in the Republic of Belarus, and the prospects for employment after graduation. The delegation members provided comprehensive answers and encouraged the students to actively participate in the cultural and educational initiatives implemented at the university. According to students' feedback, such meetings help them feel supported and strengthen their confidence in the right path they are taking.
Working meetings with deans of faculties
Continuing the visit, the delegation held a working meeting with the management of specialized faculties. Over the course of several days, representatives of the Uzbek side met with the deans of the Faculty of Instrument Engineering (FIE), the Faculty of Automotive Engineering (FAE), and the management of the International Institute of Distance Education (MIDO). . The negotiations focused on the current state of joint educational programs, the prospects for their development, and the organizational aspects of student training.
Special attention was given to the specialties and fields of study that are part of the cooperation. The parties discussed the compliance of the curricula developed at the SBUIMPTK with the requirements of the educational standards of BNTU, and outlined ways to further harmonize them. The deans of the faculties provided information about the material and technical base, scientific laboratories, and internship opportunities that Uzbek students will have access to after transferring to BNTU.
The key issue on the agenda was the organization of student recruitment and transfers for the 2026/2027 academic year. The participants discussed the mechanisms for synchronizing calendar schedules, the procedure for enrolling students, and the interaction between university admissions offices. They also addressed the issues of student adaptation to new learning environments, social support, and cultural integration.
Following the meetings, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation and confirmed their readiness to continue working together to improve educational programs. The deans of the faculties expressed their interest in increasing the number of Uzbek students and their readiness to provide them with comprehensive support at all stages of their studies.
The delegation also visited the Center for Uzbek Culture and Education at BNTU with the students.

Following the meetings, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation and confirmed their readiness to continue working together to improve educational programs. The deans of the faculties noted their interest in increasing the number of Uzbek students and expressed their willingness to provide them with comprehensive support at all stages of their studies, and representatives of the Uzbek side confirmed their intention to ensure the implementation of the agreements reached.
Then the Director of the BNTU "Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in New Areas of Engineering, Technology and Economics" Branch (BNTU "IPKiPK" Branch) visited the Institute and met with the delegation Konopatsky Denis Alexandrovich.
Also, working meetings were held with Rector Kharitonchik Sergey Vasilievich and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nikolaychik Yury Aleksandrovich, during which the prospects for the development of the Institute were discussed.
