Belarus ICT StartUp Award’ 2020 Innovation Projects Competition

Конкурс инновационных проектов Belarus ICT StartUp Award’2020

In October 2019, in the framework of the Belarusian Transport Week, a competition of innovative development projects and solutions based on the ICT Belarus ICT StartUp Award was held on the territory of the football arena.

The event was supported by the Ministry of Transport and Communication, the State Committee for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the Ministry of Education, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus with the support of the Belarusian State University of Transport, the Belarusian Innovation Fund, the Skolkovo Foundation, the International Fund for Innovative Development of CIS, the Republican Union tenants.

The aim of the competition is to promote the development of Belarusian elaborations and solutions based on ICT and their further scaling and practical application in the real sector of the economy, socially significant sectors and the public administration system.

Senior Lecturer Yakovlev A.A. (BNTU, department “Bridges and Tunnels”) together with the team of Dmitry Alkhimovich (PE “Divid - Stroy”) took part in the project.

“The Green Bridge” project was presented to expert jury - the main load-bearing elements of which are made of modular wooden elements.

The modular wooden structure is made of moisture-resistant FSF softwood plywood. The use of CNC machines allows you to make any form.

Construction technology for pedestrian transport facilities has the following advantages:

Building assembly speed

Fully prefabricated elements of high precision factory-made do not require any processing at the construction site.

Simplicity

The assembly does not require complex technological operations, specialized equipment, heavy machinery and cranes, a large construction site, is available to workers of any skill level.

Everything at once

CNC machines allow you to make various parts for the passage of the bridge, columns, stairs and ramps. This minimizes the use of other materials and structures.

Durability

This material is not so susceptible to destruction when exposed to salts and weathering. The use of a modular design allows you to perform repair work in the shortest possible time.

Profitability

Using the bionic form of the structure, the dead weight of the structure is optimized, which leads to a decrease in the materials used, the cost of transportation and installation.

Variability and adaptability

Small-piece manufacturing and CNC machines allow you to produce a wide range of designs, which allows you to realize any ideas of architects.

In the nomination for the best INNOVATIVE PROJECT, our team took an honorable III place.
