Photo report: the 3rd and the closing day of the 16th European Automotive Congress

Between October 8 and 10, the National Library of Belarus turned into a unique platform for lively discussions and fruitful discussions. Having become a real clash of wisdom and original thoughts, fully demonstrating the huge research potential of the participating countries in the automotive industry, the 16th European Automotive Congress has come to its logical conclusion.

In the first half of the final day of the congress, technical study tours were organized for the participants of the event. The guests visited the testing laboratory of the Scientific and Technical Center "Republican Testing Ground for Mobile Cars", the open joint-stock company "Belarusian Automobile Plant" and the open joint-stock company "Management company of the holding" Belkommunmash". The organized excursions did not leave anyone indifferent, and even adverse weather conditions did not prevent delegates from spending time informatively and interestingly.

At the closing ceremony, the results of the congress were summed up by the rector of the Belarusian National Technical University Sergei  Kharytonchyk.

“During the 16th European Automotive Congress, we presented the advanced technologies of our country to our guests, exchanged experiences in the field of automotive engineering, analyzed the problems existing in the automotive industry and proposed constructive ideas for solving them. Contacts were made with universities in Europe, China, America, we received a large number of proposals for the development of cooperation and joint access to international programs.

Today, in the field of mechanical engineering, the Republic of Belarus has one of the highest competencies at the world level, and the merit in this belongs to graduates of the Belarusian National Technical University, ”the rector emphasized. “Congress made it possible to reveal our potential, which will undoubtedly affect the further increase in the position of BNTU in the world ratings.”

The rector also note the agreement with Dassault Systemes, according to which BNTU students will be able to work in the software package of the SolidWorks computer-aided design system. He emphasized the importance of the event and thanked the organizers for the invitation to Congress, member of the Council of the International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA), Professor Anthony Jankowski (Poland).

“Once again, we were convinced that scientists and industrialists of the Republic of Belarus have enormous potential and competencies in the field of modern automotive industry. And what is very important, they do not hide, but generously share achievements with their colleagues, pass on the experience to the younger generation: young scientists and students. We were given a very warm welcome, and we will look forward to the next meetings, ”the representative of Izhevsk State Technical University named after M. T. Kalashnikov thanked the organizers of the congress.

The 16th European Automotive Congress, undoubtedly, became the starting point for new achievements and also for the new ones, which will certainly become possible when following the motto “All together into the future!”
