The Botanical Garden is hosting the "Boo!kids" family festival of professions: BNTU in action

В Ботаническом саду прошел семейный фестиваль профессий «Букидс»

Today, June 7, the Central Botanical Garden is hosting the anniversary "Boo!kids" festival, a celebration for children and parents where every child discovers the world of professions. Traditionally, the Belarusian National Technical University actively participates in the festival. This year, BNTU is represented by faculty and students from four faculties: the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture, the Automobile and Tractor Engineering Faculty, and the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics. Each faculty has prepared interactive platforms that explain the professions and specialties relevant to their respective fields of study. Schoolchildren of all ages, along with their parents, eagerly explore our university's exhibits and interactive areas.

For example, the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics showcases the profession of software engineer. Here, students help children fully immerse themselves in the world of IT and build their own robot. Visitors also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a game using VR headsets. The faculty's area also offers various logic puzzles and coloring pages.

The Faculty of Architecture, meanwhile, offers a drawing workshop to help children explore their imaginations and experience being designers and architects.

The Faculty of Automobile and Tractor Engineering allowed the children to experience the role of young inspectors and mechanics through various games: "Traffic Signs" lotto, "Road Alphabet" dominoes, "Obey the Traffic Rules" road sign set, parking, and a "Auto Repair Shop" construction set.

Faculty and students of the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering have developed their own game program that allows children to become familiar with all the specialties and related professions, including mine surveyor, environmental engineer, geologist, and mining engineer.

"This is not the first year that the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering has participated in the festival. During this time, the faculty and students have developed a unique game program that allows children to become familiar with all the specialties and related professions, including mine surveyor, environmental engineer, geologist, and mining engineer," noted Valentina Kuzmich, senior lecturer in the Mining Department and responsible for educational and methodological work at the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering.

Also, at the invitation of the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, Dolomit OJSC is participating in this year's event. The staff has also prepared various games, such as "Balancer" and a maze in which a BelAZ truck must navigate from a quarry to a factory.

We invite everyone to join the festival, gain exciting experiences, and take an important step in determining their future path.
