On Friday, March 20, 2026, a delegation from the Faculty of Transport Communications (FTC), including Dean Sergei Kravchenko, Leading Specialist in Coordinating Research in Transport Construction Svetlana Sobolevskaya, and Acting Head of the Department of Mechanization and Automation of Road Construction Complex Alexander Bezhik, held a working meeting with the leadership of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus as part of a cooperation agreement between educational institutions of the Ministry of Education and organizations of the NAS of Belarus.
Sergei Kravchenko briefed those present on current trends in engineering training and the graduation of specialists widely in demand in the transport, construction, and mechanical engineering industries, as well as the main areas of research conducted at the faculty. Igor Smyaglikoff, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Physics and Technology, and Vladimir Petrenko, Deputy Director for Production at the Institute of Physics and Technology of the NAS of Belarus, introduced the guests to the existing equipment and developments.

As a result of the working meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate in the area of joint use of the material and technical base, mutual information and consultations on issues of organization and methodological support for conducting scientific research and development within the framework of state scientific research programs, namely, the implementation by the BNTU side of RW 2 "Development of processes for the synthesis of suspensions of ultradispersed silicon dioxide-polymer, ultradispersed silicon dioxide-ultradisperse diamond-polymer systems and binders for diamond-abrasive composite materials" as part of the assignment for SSRP 7 "Modern Materials Science, Advanced Materials and New Technologies" in 2026-2030, and the preparation of joint publications based on the results of this work in scientific and information publications.
