Modern approaches to regional development were discussed at BNTU

В БНТУ обсудили современные подходы к развитию регионов

Today, on March 19, a dialogue platform dedicated to the Unified Information Day was held in the main building of the Belarusian National Technical University. The event, titled "Modern Approaches to Regional Development: From Economics to Social Infrastructure," brought together employees from various departments of the university.

Svetlana Pashkova, a member of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, a member of the Council's Standing Committee on Economic Development, Finance, Budget, and Entrepreneurship, and the director of Secondary School No. 64 in Minsk, acted as the speaker.

Opening the event, Svetlana Yurievna emphasized the importance of such meetings with work teams.  Addressing the key topic of the dialogue, the speaker highlighted its relevance, quoting the words of President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko:

 – Today, the topic of our dialogue is the development of regions. I will begin my speech with the words of the President, who said on December 18, 2025, addressing the people and the All-Belarusian People's Assembly: "The village is the most important thing, and the state cannot survive without it." Therefore, our priority task is to preserve the village and make it attractive to young people.

During the dialogue, the participants discussed the key vectors for the development of Belarusian regions. Svetlana Yurievna focused on the implementation of state programs and reminded us that a program for the development of agricultural business was developed for 2021-2025, and a new target program, "Agrarian and Industrial Complex of the Future," has been prepared for the current five-year period.

 – The key concept of Belarus' socio-economic development for the new five-year period is to create a self-sufficient and competitive state centered on the individual. The main goal is to achieve a new quality of life. It is important that everyone can live comfortably not only in cities but also in rural areas, – said Svetlana Pashkova.

The audience was particularly interested in the opportunity to ask questions directly to a representative of the local government. We would like to thank Svetlana Yurievna for her attention and informative conversation.
