On March 17, 2026, Chinese master's students majoring in scientific and pedagogical activity at the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogics visited the Industrial Mountaineering Training Center of the Interdisciplinary Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in Management and Personnel Development (IIAP&PD BNTU). The students were accompanied by Anna Romanova, Head of the Department of Professional Training and Pedagogy, and Irina Nekhaychik, an employee of the IIAP&PD.
For reference: The Industrial Mountaineering Training Center of the IIAP&PD BNTU trains industrial mountaineers. Classes are held on unique simulators using climbing equipment from renowned brands. Here, students can learn techniques for climbing on buildings (windows, cornices, and roof exits without parapets), as well as skills for lifting a victim from a tank or well.
During the excursion, experienced instructors taught the master's students how to properly tie the figure-eight, barrel, obvyatka, and grepvine knots, as well as how to set up a safety harness and positioning and retention systems.
Knot tying and team tug-of-war added a competitive element. The most determined and courageous guests tried their hand at abseiling, belayed by an instructor.
