A dialogue platform with international students was held at the Federal Migration Service

Диалоговая площадка с участием иностранных студентов состоялась на ФМС

Today, March 13, 2026, a dialogue platform aimed at preventing crime among international students was held at the Belarusian National Technical University. Olga Solovieva, Deputy Head of the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, was invited to the meeting as a speaker.

The meeting was organized to remind international students of their responsibility for administrative and criminal offenses. Using practical examples, the students were explained what to do if they find someone else's lost item, how to stay safe online and avoid scams, and the importance of following traffic rules.

In addition, Olga Solovieva reminded them of the visa application and renewal procedures, as well as the paperwork required for vacation travel. She also emphasized the need to adhere to the university's internal regulations and dormitories.

At the end of the meeting, the deputy head of the department urged the young people to remember that they came to Belarus to receive an education, and any violation of the law could hinder this and ruin all their future plans.

"When we were choosing a country to study in, we considered one of the main advantages that makes Belarus stand out – its security. We feel safe here, and our families don't worry about us. But we understand that we, like other residents and visitors to the country, must strictly abide by all laws to ensure that this wonderful country remains peaceful and hospitable," shared Hu Jiandong and Liu Xingbang, two young people from China.
