On Tuesday, March 3, Tatiana Prokhorchik, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianism, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Design and Packaging, Candidate of Art History, held a career guidance meeting with students of the Minsk State Gymnasium College of Arts, told the young artists in detail about the Department of Industrial Design and Packaging, the disciplines taught there, and the relevance of graduates at leading enterprises of our country (CJSC Atlant, SOAO Kommunarka, JSC Slodych, JSC Agat, JSC Minsk Tractor Plant, JSC Minsk Mechanical Plant named after S.I. Vavilov, etc.), which aroused keen interest among future applicants. Already, these young designers are interested not just in “beautiful pictures”, but in creating functional, emotional and ethical products. Tatyana Prokhorchik assured the guys that the experienced teachers of the department will help them to reveal their creative potential as much as possible.

The second important topic of the visit was the discussion with the director of the gymnasium-college, Lilia Mitsura, on the issues of improvement. The experience of the gymnasium-college, where an aesthetic recreational area was created more than 10 years ago by the efforts of a BNTU graduate, architect Alexander Trusov, inspired the FTUG to create its own project. In the near future, the area near Building 9 will be cleared of construction trailers, and it is planned to be equipped for students and teachers to relax.

Currently, with the support of the Rector of BNTU, Sergey Kharitonchik, a concept is being developed for the development of the area near Building 9. Taking into account the best practices of our colleagues will allow us to create a modern and comfortable space for outdoor recreation.
