From February 17 to 23, 2026, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted Maurin Meda, Director of Satco Academic Trust Colleges.
Satco Academic Trust Colleges became the first company in the Republic of Zimbabwe to receive accreditation from the Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Zimbabwe (ZIMCHE), and since then it has been actively recruiting African students to study abroad.
It is worth noting that this visit of M. Meda in BNTU is far from the first: since 2023, BNTU and the Republic of Belarus have become truly close and dear to her.
This time together with M. 6 Zimbabwean students came to study at the preparatory department and then continue their studies in the specialties of BNTU.
As part of this visit, the Vice-Rector for Academic Work Yuri Alexandrovich Nikolaychik held a meeting with M. Honey for discussion and adjustment of the nearest steps and prospects of interaction. The negotiations were also attended by Inna Vladimirovna Khatskevich, Head of the Department of International Marketing of Educational Services and Work with Foreign Students, Natalia Alekseevna Kondereshko, Head of the Preparatory Department of the FMS, and Daria Dmitrievna Gladkaya, Specialist of the Preparatory Department of the FMS.
During the meeting, the Belarusian side presented proposals to optimize the admission campaign of 2026 and conduct an advertising campaign of BNTU in the Republic of Zimbabwe.
By the way, BNTU representatives annually take part in exhibition events in the Republic of Zimbabwe. Thus, in December 2025, the BNTU delegation took part in exhibition events in the cities of Bulawayo and Harare within the framework of the Days of Belarusian Education in Zimbabwe.
During the exhibition, BNTU employees presented the educational opportunities of the university (training, work of summer/winter schools, scientific potential). Representatives of BNTU paid special attention to the areas of study and training programs relevant to Zimbabwean citizens: preparatory department, Russian language courses, Russian language programs, as well as specialties with English language of instruction.
BNTU attaches particular importance to the active development of partnerships with Satco Academic Trust Colleges in order to improve the quality of selection of applicants from the Republic of Zimbabwe.
The expansion of such cooperation will contribute to the creation of new opportunities for Zimbabwean applicants and will promote their professional and further career growth.
