On Saturday, February 21, 2026, the national creativity festival "E.T.N.O.": The Energy of Traditions – The Heritage of Society" was held in Vitebsk to mark International Mother Language Day. The event was organized by the Vitebsk Cultural Center.
The goal of the event was to create a creative platform for presenting the richness and uniqueness of peoples' native languages and cultures. The festival brought together students from India, Sri Lanka, China, and Nigeria who had come to study in our country.
The festival's program was diverse: interactive areas were available, master classes in folk crafts and traditional arts were held, and the event culminated in a colorful gala concert featuring performances by Belarusian and international students.
Kitalano Beni, a student in the Faculty of International Cooperation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, took part in the concert, singing "Parfum qui chante" in French. "This composition was written by a Congolese gospel group," Beni enthused. "I chose it because I really love Christian music."
All guests at the event were able to immerse themselves in a creative atmosphere: they expressed themselves in master classes, listened to poetry and songs, and learned about traditional crafts.
At the end of the celebration, participants were awarded certificates and souvenirs.
