On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the qualifying round of the annual "Miss BNTU 2026" beauty and talent pageant took place at the Belarusian National Technical University. This year, 32 bright and ambitious representatives of various university faculties competed for the right to win the crown.
The young women showcased their talents and artistry before a panel of experts, which included:
Elena Makushchenko, Deputy Head of the BNTU Department of Culture;
Oksana Smolskaya, Head of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs;
Ekaterina Aronova, Deputy Secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) with the rights of the BNTU Regional Committee;
Ksenia Polovinko, Head of the Photo and Video Department of the BNTU Media Center.
The main selection criteria were not only physical appearance but also charisma. The jury assessed the contestants' artistry, their fashion show, their confident public presence, and, of course, the creative talent each contestant demonstrated during the casting.
"The casting is always a very exciting moment, not only for the contestants but also for the jury, as it's important to see each contestant's talent and spark. It was very difficult to choose just 10 from more than 30 contestants, as each of them deserved a place in the finals," said Ekaterina Aronova, the competition organizer.
Before the casting, the girls anxiously awaited their turn. The candidates actively interacted and shared their first impressions and expectations for the competition. Natalia Askerko, a first-year student in the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarian Studies, shared her opinion on what it takes to win:
"It's self-confidence, first and foremost. Because no matter how beautiful you are, if you show up shaking with nerves, it won't look good."
After lengthy discussions and scoring, the jury approved the list of the lucky winners who will continue their quest for the title of the university's most beautiful woman. The top ten finalists for the "Miss BNTU 2026" competition are:
