Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation in the field of higher education is constantly expanding its boundaries

The Belarusian National Technical University attaches special importance to strengthening and developing relations with universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Thanks to the joint efforts of the leaders of the two states, Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation is dynamically developing and rising to a new level, mutual trust is strengthening, and cooperation is expanding in all areas of the economy, including education.

– This year, BNTU graduates 238 specialists from among the citizens of Uzbekistan. We are implementing about 70 joint educational programs with Uzbek partner universities. Also, about 200 teachers and professors of higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan undergo internships at BNTU every year," said Pavel Shirvel, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation, on the air of O'zbekiston 24.

Polytech has been actively cooperating with institutions of higher education of the Republic of Uzbekistan since 2018. To date, the number of partner universities from Uzbekistan is 29. During the period of cooperation, the universities have managed to build strong relationships through joint efforts, which acquire new forms of interaction every year.

In order to improve the training of highly qualified engineering and technical personnel for the industries of Uzbekistan and expand international cooperation in the field of higher education, a Joint Belarussian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications  was established in Tashkent in 2019 by the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Based on the decision of the BNTU Council, a Joint Belarussian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications was established in the structure of the  university in March 2020.

One of the successful results of the mutually beneficial partnership was the creation of a joint faculty of BNTU and Tashkent State Transport University in 2019.

In 2022, the Center for Belarusian Culture was opened at Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, which contributed to the deepening of cultural ties between Belarus and Uzbekistan. This center has become an important platform for promoting Belarusian culture, language and traditions in Uzbekistan, as well as for the exchange of experience and knowledge between students and teachers of both countries.

The Belarusian National Technical University respects the traditions of the Uzbek people and sincerely shares the joy of the wonderful spring holiday of Navruz with its partners and students from Uzbekistan. This celebration is held annually at the BNTU sanatorium, to which students from Uzbekistan and other countries are invited. This event allows you to immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where each element of the celebration is filled with deep meaning.

Currently, 2,808 Uzbek students are studying at BNTU, 2,343 students are studying in joint educational programs and are currently in universities of  Uzbekistan, 465 are in BNTU, Minsk. Polytech implements joint educational programs with 9 Uzbek partner universities in 11 specialties.

The Belarusian National Technical University is firmly committed to continuing cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan, jointly training specialists capable of solving current challenges for the benefit of the development of our countries.
