On April 17, 2025, the 81st student scientific and technical conference "Actual problems of geotechnics, ecology, protection of the population in emergency situations, construction mechanics and information technology" was held in the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic", section "Geotechnics and construction mechanics", in which about 90 students, master's students, postgraduates, from such faculties as CEF, AF, FEC, FTС took part, making 48 reports, as well as 10 teachers.
The conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engeneering, Sergei Nikolaevich Kovshar.
The head of the department of Geotechnics and Structural Mechanics, Tamara Mikhailovna Ulasik, also spoke, giving the start to the conference.
Conference section topics:
· engineering geology and modern survey methods;
· modern development of soil mechanics and foundation engineering;
· ecological construction and environmental protection;
· protection of the population during man-made and natural disasters;
· structural mechanics;
· information technology.
The jury for evaluating the reports was as follows:

The speaker was given 5-7 minutes to speak, and each conference participant and jury members could ask questions to the speaker.
Following the conference, 7 reports received certificates, despite the fact that there were 6 sections - the jury decided that an additional certificate was needed for the active participation of one particularly active participant in the conference, who, by the way, was incredibly close to the best report in one of the sections, and managed to present in as many as three!
Prizes together with certificates for the best speakers at the conference were prepared largely thanks to the PO PA "BRUY" with the rights of the RC BNTU, and the personal participation of Poznevych Kirill Yuryevich. Special thanks for the computer design to the engineer of the department of "Geotechnics and structural mechanics" Kashpar Ekaterina Aleksandrovna.
It was very difficult for the jury to come to a clear decision about the "best" this year, since the scores were distributed fairly equally and with a minimal spread, so that it was necessary to contact the relevant teacher in each area, who was on the jury. After long discussions and short disputes, the jury distributed the best reports as follows.
The literacy for the best report in the direction of "Ecological construction and environmental protection" with the topic "Improvement of modernized territories using the example of the city of Minsk" is awarded to Kuprash Darya Dmitrievna and Koleda Polina Vladimirovna, supervisor - Ulasik T.M.;
The literacy for the best report in the direction of "Modern development of soil mechanics and foundation engineering" with the topic "The influence of groundwater level on the stability and strength of corner retaining walls" is awarded to Mordich Ivan Igorevich, Denisovich Darya Vadimovna, Bobko Ilya Leonidovich, supervisor - Boyko I.L.;
The literacy for the best report in the direction of "Engineering geology and modern survey methods" with the topic "Eclecticism: the relationship between interior decoration and the structure of the building" is awarded to Alina Andreevna Davidovich, supervisor - A. Yu. Bynkova;
The literacy for the best report in the direction of "Structural Mechanics" with the topic "Study of the optimal variable cross-section of rods in flat frames (using the finite element method)" is awarded to Mordich Ivan Igorevich, Shemis Ekaterina Viktorovna, Shemis Elizaveta Viktorovna, supervisor - Verbitskaya O.L.;
The literacy for the best report in the direction of "Information Technology" with the topic "The current state of artificial intelligence technologies" is awarded to Darya Alekseevna Shestakova, supervisor - A.V. Strelyukhin;
The literacy for the best report in the direction of "Protection of the population during man-made and natural disasters" with the topic "Emergencies in construction" is awarded to Veronika Andreevna Vrublevskaya, Elizaveta Ruslanovna Tutina, supervisor - D.I. Shipitsa.
A special certificate for active participation in the conference (participation in 3 conference areas) is awarded to Navrotskaya Alexandra Valerievna.
