Youth legal lecture 'How to relax and stay out of trouble' was held at FITR

Лекция «Как отдыхать и не иметь проблем» прошла на ФИТР

On September 8, 2026, the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics hosted a preventive educational event for students — a youth legal awareness lecture entitled “How to Have Fun and Stay Out of Trouble.” The event was organized by activists of the FITR branch of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union together with the organization’s secretary.

The main purpose of the meeting was to improve students’ legal awareness and develop safe behavior skills applicable to everyday life. During the lecture, the speakers discussed in detail common situations students may encounter in dormitories, public places, and the digital environment.

Particular attention was paid to compliance with the internal regulations of BNTU dormitories and rules of public conduct, including maintaining silence after 11:00 p.m., allowing guests to stay without proper registration, smoking in unauthorized areas, consuming alcoholic beverages, and other violations. A separate section focused on responsibility for online activities, including posting offensive comments and distributing questionable content.

Participants were introduced to provisions of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses that are particularly relevant to young people, as well as the fines that may be imposed for various violations. The practical part of the lecture included reviewing appropriate and lawful conduct when communicating with law enforcement officers.

Special attention was given to the importance of complying with the law for students. Legal awareness is an integral part of the professional development of a future specialist. Compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus not only ensures personal safety and protects the rights of young people, but also fosters respect for the society in which we live. For students, as one of the most active and mobile groups of the population, knowledge of legal norms provides a foundation for responsible behavior, helps prevent rash decisions and their negative consequences, and contributes to successful studies and future careers.

At the end of the lecture, each participant received an informational leaflet and completed a self-assessment using a safe leisure checklist. Events of this kind help foster respect for the law and for others among students while encouraging a responsible attitude toward personal safety.
