On September 9–10, 2026, the "Montazhniki i Stroiteli" (Installers and Builders) Training Center—a branch of the IIASRP BNTU—hosted a major industry event: the conference "Advanced Welding Technologies for Modern Industry and Construction." The event brought together leading welding industry specialists, researchers, and students. The conference was organized by the "Montazhniki i Stroiteli" Training Center (IIASRP BNTU), CJSC BELROSSPLAV, and the Research and Testing Laboratory for Welding, Related Technologies, and Non-Destructive Testing (part of the BNTU RPI branch).

The event served as a key platform for discussing pressing issues regarding the modernization of production facilities, the implementation of innovative equipment, and workforce skills development.
The first day focused on the industry's trendsetters: executives, chief welding specialists, and process engineers. The AVRORA brand took center stage.
Instead of dry theory, the sessions offered a practical analysis of the factors that truly impact weld quality and production speed. Experts from AVRORA Group (Stanislav Gogolev, Dmitry Yupatov) revealed the secrets behind the modern synergic modes used in AVRORA welding machines, as well as the innovations incorporated into the company's industrial compressors.


After the coffee break, the session shifted from theory to practice, allowing each participant to personally "feel" the arc using state-of-the-art equipment under the guidance of technical gurus.


The conference was made particularly significant by the participation of representatives from the republic's leading organizations, including JSC Belaruskali, JSC BelAZ, JSC BAAZ, JSC MAZ, JSC S.I. Vavilov MMZ, JSC Heavy Forging Plant, UP Mingaz, and others.
At the conclusion of the first day, all conference participants were awarded certificates and received discount vouchers.


While the first day was dedicated to engineers, the second split the audience into two major tracks: academic and competitive.
Professional Skills Competition
A competition for professional welders from industrial and construction companies was held, covering three key processes: MMA (111), MIG/MAG (135), and TIG (141). The event showcased the specialists' exceptional level of expertise and their ability to operate modern inverters and produce flawless welds in various positions. These processes formed the basis of the event’s video coverage, clearly demonstrating that modern welding is a high-precision engineering art.



The culmination of the entire event was the ceremonial awarding of the winners.

Science and International Cooperation
A parallel session was organized for BNTU faculty and students, focusing on advanced technologies and quality control in welding production. The lineup of speakers had an international reach, featuring presentations on research findings by Liu Zihan and Dazhao Chi from the Key Laboratory of Advanced Welding Technology at Harbin Institute of Technology (PRC).
Stanislav Gogolev, an expert from Aurora Group (St. Petersburg, Russia), presented new metal transfer technologies used in Aurora welding equipment.
Domestic experts—Vladimir Nesterov, Artem Litvinko, Valery Sereda and JSC "Trust Belpromnaladka" Evgeniy Khvasko—analyzed key production challenges, ranging from defects in metal structures to welding operations at potentially hazardous sites. Furthermore, a presentation on corrosion detection using ultrasonic digital image processing served as compelling proof that welding and inspection today are driven by IT technologies.

The specialized exhibition "AVRORA-2026 Welding Equipment" ran for two days. There were no "Do Not Touch" signs here; visitors had the opportunity to explore the latest models of industrial inverters and compressors, digital welding process control systems, and plasma cutting equipment.


The principle proclaimed by the organizers—"A professional in everyone!"—proved to be more than just a slogan; it was a true reflection of the level of competence demonstrated by the event's participants and speakers.
