BNTU students and staff visited the Minsk Spiritual Seminary

Студенты и работники БНТУ посетили Минскую духовную семинарию

Yesterday, on March 18, 2025, an excursion to the Minsk Theological Seminary and the Holy Dormition Zhirovichi Stavropol Monastery was organized for students and teachers of the Belarusian National Technical University. The event was a wonderful opportunity for the participants to immerse themselves in the world of spiritual heritage and culture of Belarus, as well as to maintain cooperation between educational institutions.

The tour began with a visit to the Church of the Three Saints, where students and teachers were met by a fourth-year student of the Minsk Theological Seminary. He spoke in detail about the entrance exams, the educational process and the daily routine of the seminarians. The information about the training at the seminary aroused great interest among those present and allowed them to better understand the importance of spiritual education in Belarus and the world.

The next stage of the tour was the Church Archaeological Museum, where the guide introduced the participants to important personalities in the history of the Minsk Theological Seminary. He spoke about prominent figures who have made a significant contribution to the development of spiritual education and culture in Belarus. Interesting facts about the history of temples, seminary and monastery made the event even more informative.

In addition, BNTU students visited the heart of the seminary, the Holy Dormition Church. The participants were able to enjoy the architectural beauty of the temple and learn about its historical significance.

During the meeting with the rector of the Minsk Theological Seminary, Archpriest Viktor Vasilevich, the head of the BNTU Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs, Victoria Nevodnichaya, presented memorable gifts – lean pies prepared by the BNTU Nutrition Center and a painting painted by a student of the Faculty of Architecture. The gesture has become a symbol of friendship and cooperation between educational institutions.

On the way back, the Polytechnic students also visited the new nearby Zhirovichi spring of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, which was an excellent end to the tour, allowing participants not only to enjoy nature, but also to touch spiritual traditions.

The excursion to the Minsk Theological Seminary and the Holy Dormition Zhirovichi Monastery left a lot of positive impressions among the students and staff of BNTU, deepening their knowledge of the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the country.
