The meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod region was held at the BNTU

Yesterday, on November 20, 2024, the Belarusian National Technical University held  an online meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education of Belarus, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as the leadership of Belarusian and Nizhny Novgorod institutions of higher education.

The meeting was opened by Sergey Pishchov, Head of the Main Department of Professional Education of the Ministry of Education of Belarus.He greeted the participants of the meeting and gave the message to Mikhail Puchkov, Minister of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod region, who outlined the main topics of the meeting, starting with the results of the XIII Forum of Universities of Engineering and Technology Profile of the Union State.The Minister also highlighted that the forum serves as a platform for the exchange of experience and best practices among teachers, scientists and students.

Mikhail Yuryevich's speech was supported by the first vice–rector - vice-rector for Educational Activities of the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R. E. Alekseev Evgeny Ivashkin and the first vice-rector of BNTU Andrey Safonov.As noted by Evgeny Gennadievich and Andrey Ivanovich, the events of the forum are gaining greater authority and influence in the educational and scientific circles of the society of Russia and Belarus every year.

Further, the issue of professional development of teaching staff was brought up for discussion.Viktor Sdobnyakov, Rector of Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after K. Minin, and Yulia Sycheva, first Vice-rector of the Republican Institute of Vocational Education, made proposals on this topic.The exchange of scientific and pedagogical employees, the organization and participation in joint internships, professional conferences and competitions of methodological developments – all this was considered by those present to be the best way to develop the professionalism of teachers and leactors.

The agenda of the meeting also included the issue of prospects for the development of joint educational projects and programs between institutions of higher education in Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod region.The participants discussed various areas of joint student education, including mechanical engineering, nuclear energy, robotics and digital linguistics. Such initiatives will help strengthen the ties of the Union State.

In conclusion, the participants considered the possibility of participation of representatives of Belarusian universities in Russian volunteer projects.It was decided that in the near future, the curators of such projects will develop a joint plan for their organization of projects, taking into account the interests and capabilities of both states.

Thus, the meeting helped to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod region, opening up new horizons for joint work and exchange of experience. We thank our colleagues from the Russian Federation for productive negotiations and express our hope for fruitful joint work.
