Yesterday, on September 26, 2024, the celebration of the World Day of Confucius Institutes took place in the BNTU. The organizer of the festive venues was the Confucius Institute for Science and Technology BNTU.
For reference: On the initiative of the headquarters of the Confucius institutes (Hanban) in 2014 with the 10th anniversary of the founding of the global network of Confucius institutes was established the World Confucius Institutes Day, which is celebrated annually at the end of September. Worldwide Confucius institutes network is the most significant cultural and educational project on a global scale at the beginning of the XXI century.

Students and guests of the festival were greeted with great joy and a lot of activities. On the third floor, bright themed areas, unusual interactivity and master classes were waiting for the participants.

So, the participants were able to get acquainted with the real Chinese tea ceremony at the appropriate thematic master class. The guests learned that the Chinese tea ceremony is not just a process of making and serving tea, but a whole ritual filled with deep meaning and philosophy.

The director of the Confucius Institute for Science and Technology BNTU from the Chinese side, Li Wenxue, took part in the master classes. He held a master class in Chinese calligraphy.
– Today I see that a lot of students and pupils are interested in the culture and traditions of eastern countries. It is in our interests to continue to promote this and hold these events much more - the director noted.

Indeed, interest in Chinese culture and art has grown recently. Among those who wanted to get into the rhythm of life and knowledge of China were not only adults, but also young researchers – pupils, including those who study in educational institutions with a focus on Chinese. The head of the group of pupils of secondary school №1 village Kopishche, Ekaterina, told about the introduction of the Chinese language in their educational institution.
– Since this academic year, the 3rd "E" class of our school has decided to engage in project activities such as the study of Chinese culture and language. To get to know these topics better, we decided today to attend the event of the Confucius Institute for Science and Technology BNTU. In my opinion, the event turned out to be not only interesting, but also very useful for children in order to interest them.

Such forms of interaction help not only to learn something new, but also contribute to the development of intercultural communication and strengthen friendly ties between people.

We thank all the guests and organizers. We look forward to new meetings at the Belarusian National Technical University!
