The Belarusian National Technical University offers students not only high-quality education, but also the opportunity to realize themselves in a variety of fields. Sports, science and culture are developed at the university at a professional level and accessible to every student. On the eve of the open day of the BNTU Department of Cultural Affairs, we want to introduce you to the brightest and the most creative side of the BNTU — cultural life.
The main structure that oversees this area is the Department of Cultural Affairs. It supports talented young people and gives every student the opportunity to reveal the potential.
The management staff are creative people who always ready to help students in the active life of the university. The head of the department Natalia Penyaz. In one of the interviews, Natalia Andreevna spoke about the development of culture in the BNTU.
– Our university has rich cultural traditions. Even the main building of the BNTU is included in the list of historical and cultural values of Minsk. Great attention has always been paid to the aesthetic development of students at BNTU. Today, interesting and eventful students' life is an important component of the prestige of our university. When well-known figures of culture and arts of Belarus come to work for us on the jury, they are always surprised by the creative component of our students and say that today it is a phenomenon.
The collectives not only actively participate in the cultural life of the BNTU, but also earn recognition in the urban and republican arena. In 2024, the staff of the BNTU Department of Cultural Affairs was awarded the grand prix of the republican festival of artistic creativity of students and students "Art-holiday - 2024", and creative teams became holders of diplomas of I, II and III degrees in various nominations. In addition, on May 24 and 25, 2024, the bands took part in the gala concert of the festival in Brest.
Today, the BNTU Department of Cultural Affairs has more than 20 creative teams working in such areas as vocal, dance, instrumental, theatrical creativity and artistic word. Among the many teams represented, everyone will be able to find the most suitable direction for themselves, and to make it easier, we have collected general information about each of them.

Every event is complete without choreographic groups: a concert dedicated to the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the solemn line–up "The first-year student of BNTU", the festival of Belarusian culture at BNTU "Belarus is us!", etc.

Every year instrumental bands delight the audience with solo concerts and performances at significant events of the university, the district and the city.

The members of the collectives have repeatedly demonstrated their skills at city, national and international theater festivals, as well as literary competitions. In addition, theater groups don’t forget to please the university audience with their performances.
The most important event in the cultural life of BNTU students is the festival of student creativity "Spring of BNTU".Each year, the creative groups of the faculties present their performances during four thematic competition days. The guys are interested in this event and have been preparing for a long time.
The festival usually takes place at the end of April and as mentioned, lasts for four days. Traditionally, the results are summed up on the fifth and final day – a gala concert. In 2024, the Faculty of Civil Engineering became the winner of the grand prix. The guys took almost all the prizes, managed to stand out on every day of the festival and won.
