Yesterday, on September 9, 2024, the summer educational school on automation for undergraduates of Qingdao Agrarian University (People's Republic of China) ended at the Belarusian National Technical University.
For reference: this is the second summer school for undergraduates from Qingdao. The first educational program was held in 2023, and since then, the success of summer schools has laid the foundation for deepening cooperation with higher education institutions in China.
The summer school was organized by the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, whose representatives prepared a rich program for the students. Thus, the summer school course included several areas at once: education, science and culture.
During the training, the students improved their skills in 3D modeling, creating control systems, and programming automated systems. Undergraduates also took advanced training courses at the BNTU branch "Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining in new areas of Technology, Technology and Economics", having received certificates of completion.
In order to deepen their knowledge in the scientific field, the participants of the summer school organized visits to leading Belarusian companies and enterprises, such as JSC MTP and LLC Mikasensor. There, students got acquainted with the production of household appliances and automated radiation control systems.
At Niva-Motor LLC, students of the summer school were shown automated mining equipment, as well as a remote service support system based on virtual reality. A meaningful tour of the enterprise was conducted for those present, which made it possible to improve practical knowledge in the field under study.
The summer school was remembered by the participants not only for their education, but also for an interesting cultural life, the bright page of which was the first BNTU phygital tournament. Undergraduates competed with students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics in the computer game CS:GO, and then fought on a real playing field: activists from the NGO "BRYU" organized airsoft competitions for the participants of the tournament.
