Make the right choice: the results of the BNTU – 2024 admission campaign

On Saturday, August 3, the admission campaign – 2024 was completed at the Belarusian National Technical University. We summarize the results and talk about admission through numbers and statistics.

A total of 6,179 applications were processed during the reception of documents. Nevertheless, 4,379 people became students of BNTU, including:

• 71 were enrolled in excess of the admission plan;
• 279 medalists and graduates of secondary specialized educational institutions with diplomas with honors;
• 23 graduated from the National Children's Technopark and took advantage of admission benefits (enrolled without entrance tests based on the results of the interview);
• 8 graduates of pedagogical classes;
• 950 graduates of lyceums and gymnasiums;
• 861 scored 300 or more points;
• 44 have a 100-point result in CE/CT.

The maximum score with which the applicant submitted the documents was marked at the Faculty of Energy – 395.

The highest passing score for admission to study at the expense of the republican budget was noted at the Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship (specialty "engineering economics. Design project management at an industrial enterprise") – 379. On the terms of payment, this indicator amounted to 302 points in the specialty "software engineering" of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics.

The following specialties of the full-time budget form of education became especially in demand:

• "business administration" (competition – 10.33 people per place); 
• "marketing" (competition – 7.5 people per place); 
• "architecture" (competition – 6.5 people per place). 

Among the specialties of the correspondence budget form of education, the highest competition was formed in the specialties:

• "transport logistics" (competition – 2.8 people per place); 
• "engineering networks, equipment of buildings and structures" (competition – 1.6 people per place); 
• "Engineering economics" (competition – 1.6 people per place).

In 2024, the following specialties of full-time paid education became especially in demand:

• "operation of road transport infrastructure" (competition – 2 people per place);
• "biomedical engineering" (competition – 2 people per place). 

The highest competition in the framework of the correspondence paid form of education was noted in the following specialties: 

• "operation of ground transport and technological machines and complexes" (competition – 1.4 people per place); 
• "engineering networks, equipment of buildings and structures" (competition – 1.2 people per place); 
• "operation of ground transport and technological machines and complexes. Technical operation of cars and car service" (competition – 1.1 people per place).

The average university competition was:

for budget places:

• full–time education - 1.88 people per place;
• correspondence form of education – 1.93 people per place;

for paid places:

• full–time education - 1.13 people per place;
• the correspondence form of education is 0.95 people per place.
