Today, on June 18,representatives of Belarusian National Technical University met the delegation of Tongji University (People’s Republic of China). The foreign delegation included:


The meeting began with a presentation of innovative developments in the Scientific and Technological Park of the BNTU "Polytechnic". Georgy Vershina, Director of the technopark, conducted a tour of the exhibition hall for the guests. Touching upon among other things, the topic of innovations in the field of mechanical engineering, he spoke about plasma technologies for applying high-strength coatings.


The representatives of the delegation were particularly interested in the medical products of the technopark: instruments and implants for traumatology, an ultrasound device for the treatment of skin and venereal diseases, treatment of coronary vessels, etc.

Then the head of the Department of "Building materials and construction technologies" Sergei Leonovich acquainted the guests with the activities of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, its specialties and specializations, the possibilities of studying under master's degree programs for students, as well as the latest achievements in the field of digitalization, BIM technologies and international cooperation.




After that, the parties began negotiations.The interests of the BNTU were represented by Rector of BNTU Sergei Kharytonchyk, Deputy-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuriy Nikolaychik, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics Andrey Avsievich, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Sergey Kovshar, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs International Cooperation Faculty Nikolay Vishnyakov and Deputy Chief International Cooperation Faculty Veranika Liutarevich.




Yuriy Aleksandrovich introduced the guests to the activities of BNTU and its positions in world rankings, shared information about international programs implemented at the university and projects to strengthen international cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.


At the end of the meeting, Sergei Kharytonchyk and Peng Zhang Wei signed a memorandum of understanding between the universities.The plans of both sides include to continue cooperation.
