Today, on May 8, the Belarusian National Technical University hosted a meeting with a delegation headed by Metropolit Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus within the framework of the Easter Joy project. The honorary guests were met by representatives of the university under the leadership of Rector Sergei Kharitonchik.

The visit began with a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to students and teachers of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute who died during the Great Patriotic War.

After the symbolic action, the guests visited an exhibition of works by the Faculty of Architecture dedicated to the Easter holiday, at the doors of which the delegation was met by students and employees of BNTU. The exhibits were presented by Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Armen Sardarov, who spoke about the history of the creation of works and their artistic value.

The performance of the National Choral Chapel emphasized the solemnity and spirituality of the meeting. The talent and professionalism of the artists were highly appreciated by the Metropolit.
The event continued in the BNTU Hall of Fame, where Sergey Vasilyevich made a welcoming speech. In his speech, the Rector mentioned the close cooperation and long-standing strong friendship between BNTU and the Belarusian Orthodox Church. University students, for example, annually work on projects for the reconstruction and restoration of monuments of Christian culture, participate in seminars and prayer services with representatives of the clergy. The Church, in turn, helps young people develop a sense of responsibility to society, spiritual and moral education, and find their vocation in life.

Metropolit Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, also addressed the audience. Vladyka told about the history of the bright Easter holiday, its traditions and urged students to do good deeds and follow the laws of love and compassion.

As part of the event, the guests were also presented with a valuable gift – a sketch for the beautification of the territory of the holy waters, created by representatives of the Faculty of Architecture of BNTU. In a festive atmosphere, Armen Sergeevich handed over the work to Alexander Lukyanovich, the rector of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross which is in the village of Zagorye, Borisovsky district.

On bright Easter days, it is doubly pleasant to receive gifts and honorary awards. Valery Grakhov, Rector of Izhevsk State Technical University named after M. T. Kalashnikov, was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor of BNTU".

The visit ended with another significant event – the Metropolit's entry in the book of honorary guests of the Belarusian National Technical University.

The meeting with representatives of the Belarusian Orthodox Church ended on such a glorious note. The event became an important event for the university and an opportunity to touch the spiritual culture of our country.
