Today, February 15, a meeting of the Council on Grants to provide state support for the creation and development of Advanced Engineering Schools (AES) was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The Council heard reports from 30 teams implementing the Advanced Engineering Schools project.
Among the participants there was the Union State AES team. On the part of the Belarusian National Technical University, the delegation was represented by Rector Sergei Kharitonchik, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Ksenia Yakushenko and Vice-Rector for Educational Work Timur Matyushinets. The delegation also included the rector of Pskov State University (PskovSU) Natalya Ilyina, the head of the Union State AES Dmitry Grinev, the director of the “Sistema” Training and Development Center Yana Khoroshilova, and student Maxim Ivanov.
During the meeting, the team presented information on the training of engineering personnel, the creation and commercialization of new technologies.
Thus, in 2023, within the framework of the AES project, BNTU and Pskov State University achieved significant results in the field of digital and gas-flame technologies. A new model of engineering education was jointly launched, the main principles of which are training using real cases from enterprises, an intersectoral approach to developing competencies, an international network format of educational programs, early immersion in practical work in the workplace, innovative entrepreneurship programs, etc.
Among other things, representatives of Belarusian and Russian universities created two new scientific and educational spaces: research laboratories that specialize in digital design and intelligent robotic systems.
Universities have already planned a number of tasks for 2024:
We wish the Union State AES team successful and productive work!
