Department : Vocational Training and Pedagogy

The department of POiP is a graduating one, provides training in the specialty 6-05-0719-01 "Engineering and Pedagogical Activities".

Graduates of this specialty receive the degree of "Bachelor", the qualification "Engineer. Teacher".

Preparation is carried out in several profiles :

• mechanical engineering;
• construction;
• electric power industry;
• automotive industry.

The objects of professional activity of the graduate are:

• the educational process in institutions of vocational, secondary specialized, higher education, institutions of the system of advanced training and retraining of personnel, in technical training departments of industrial enterprises;

• scientific research in industry and academic research institutes;
• production process at enterprises of economic sectors.

The graduate must be competent in the following activities:

• pedagogical;
• scientific and methodological;
• organizational and managerial;
• research;
• design and engineering;
• production and technological;

After completing the first stage of education, graduates can continue their education in a master's program in the specialty 7-06-0111-01 "Scientific and pedagogical activity" and in postgraduate studies in the specialty 13.00.08 "Theory and methods of vocational education".

The department has a modern educational laboratory on teaching methods in a computer class.

In the process of learning, students undergo several types of practice - educational, industrial (1st pedagogical), industrial (2nd pedagogical), technological, pre-diploma - on the basis of colleges and leading enterprises of the country's enterprises (corresponding to the profile ) .

Industrial training students take place in the best colleges, at industrial enterprises, factories, construction sites of the Republic of Belarus, during which they have the opportunity to get acquainted with the organization of the educational process and modern production.

The teachers of the department are actively engaged with students in research and scientific-methodical work, the result of which is participation in republican and international scientific-practical conferences of young scientists and students, a competition of scientific works of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus. The works of students have repeatedly been highly appreciated and encouraged by the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the social support of gifted students.
