Today, on July 15, awards were presented at the Palace of the Republic to the laureates of the 2025 Government Quality Award. Among the winners are students and undergraduates of the Belarusian National Technical University. The award ceremony was opened by Viktor Karankevich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.
“Participation in the competition is an opportunity for an objective and independent assessment of the company's performance in the field of quality. Winning the award is not only a recognition of the company's achievements by the government, but also an excellent opportunity for further development and implementation of new projects. The quality of products produced in the real sector of the economy and in the service sector is under the special control of the head of state and the government. All sectors have been assigned challenging tasks,” said Viktor Karankevich.
The awards were presented to 24 organizations: 9 were awarded for the first time, and 15 were awarded a second time. According to the tradition of the event, the final part of the ceremony included the announcement of the results of the Best Diploma and Research Paper Competition for Students in the Field of Management and Quality Control 2025, organized by the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus. The competition was attended by students and master's students from leading universities in the Republic of Belarus.
Representatives of BNTU have been participating and winning this competition every year. This year, most of the awards were won by students and master's students from the country's leading technical university.
Ulyana Kostyukevich, a student from the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship, won the award for her thesis, "Optimization of Product Quality Management at an Enterprise (Based on the Example of Krasny Pishchevik OJSC)." Nelly Zhudro, an associate professor at the Department of Economics and Management of Innovative Projects in Industry, served as her thesis advisor.
Irina Pryanik, a student from the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, also won the award. The girl's diploma topic was "Integration of the Lean Management Concept into the Food Safety Management System." Irina achieved this result with the help of her supervisor, Associate Professor Elena Davydova from the Department of Standardization, Metrology, and Information Systems.
Another award-winning student was Vladislav Olifer from the Faculty of Instrument Engineering, whose diploma topic was "Information and Methodological Support for Quality Control of Optical Products Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies." Evgeniya Savkova, Associate Professor from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, supported Vladislav's research.
This year, foreign students were also awarded the prize. Zhu Yunmao, a master's student from the Faculty of Energy, focused her master's thesis on "Improving the Efficiency of Visual Recognition and Detection of Defects in Power Lines." On the other hand, Dong Ming, a master's student from the Faculty of Energy, chose the topic "Intelligent Big Data Management Technologies in Power Supply Systems." Evgeniya Savkova also served as the academic advisor for both students.
Diplomas were awarded to students, master's students, and their academic supervisors by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Ivanets, and the Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, Elena Morgunova, who emphasized the relevance of master's theses and diploma works.
