Today, on June 3, the delegation of the Belarusian National Technical University went to Gomel State Technical University named after P. O. Sukhoi to take part in the republican project "Student Bridge: youth mobility as a tool for partnership development, exchange of ideas and innovations." The BNTU delegation included representatives of the university's youth structures and university staff.
The guests were solemnly greeted by Alexander Shapovalov, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work at Sukhoi State Technical University, as well as the creative teams of the university's student club.
— We welcome you on behalf of the leadership and students of the leading technical university of the Gomel region. Welcome! I urge you to actively prove yourself and discuss pressing issues together. I am confident that this will become a solid foundation for our cooperation in various fields, both educational and ideological. I am convinced that we will do everything possible for this," said Alexander Shapovalov.
The first day of the visit turned out to be eventful. BNTU representatives visited the Spartak confectionery factory and the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble.
— We were very impressed with the Spartak tour. We not only saw how the sweets we have loved since childhood are created, but also felt the atmosphere of production, which carefully preserves traditions for more than a century. I especially remember the process of handmade and souvenir packaging," said Anna Yashhembskaya, a graduate student at the Faculty of Automotive Engineering.
Tomorrow, June 4, students and staff of BNTU will have a more detailed acquaintance with the infrastructure and laboratories of the Sukhoi State Technical University. The key event of the second day will be a round table, following which a roadmap for further cooperation between the two universities will be developed.
We wish the delegation a successful acquaintance, fruitful exchange of experience and effective work on common initiatives!
