Today, on June 1, on the International Day of Children's Rights, activists and volunteers of the Belarusian National Technical University visited the state institution "Chervensky children's social boarding house "Igumensky". This visit was another event dedicated to the main holiday of childhood.
Representatives of BNTU have been treating the younger generation with special care for many years. The volunteer movement and the university's youth associations are actively engaged all year round, regularly organizing toy and stationery collections, field trips to orphanages, boarding schools, and social shelters throughout the Minsk region.
The visit to the children's boarding school was part of the traditional "BNTU Students for Children" campaign. The students and university staff arrived with gifts, sweets, and the most sincere smiles.
The program was full of fun and excitement: the students organized outdoor games, balloon contests, friendly relay races, and a concert for the children. The atmosphere in the boarding house's courtyard was that of a true family celebration.
The main purpose of the visit was not just to give toys, but to provide the attention, warmth, and support that every child needs. Tatyana, a student from the Faculty of Management and Humanitarian Studies, shared her impressions of the visit:
— Today is International Children's Day. This is not just a date on the calendar, but a reminder to all of us that all children have the right to a happy childhood. When we arrived here, I saw an incredible light in the children's eyes. They don't need expensive gadgets; they need our genuine care and attention.
On this sunny holiday, the students of BNTU brought genuine care and a sense of celebration to the children. The university and its students remain true to their traditions, demonstrating that being a student is not just about lectures, exams, and laboratory work, but also about making a positive impact on the world.
