Yesterday, May 11, a working meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus was held at the Belarusian National Technical University. The visit marked an important step in strengthening long-standing academic ties and discussing new promising areas of cooperation.
The Chinese delegation included Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, Song Yanping, and First Secretary of the Embassy, Hu Yunbo. BNTU representatives were represented at the meeting by Yuri Nikolaychik, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; Pavel Shirvel, Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation; Vladimir Kleenkov, Director of the BNTU Confucius Institute for Science and Technology (Belarus); Li Wenxue, Director of the BNTU Confucius Institute for Science and Technology (China); and Yaroslav Bazhko, Specialist of the BNTU Department of International Programs, Exchanges, and Protocol.
The main topic of the dialogue was summing up the interim results and planning for future stages of cooperation. The meeting participants thoroughly analyzed the effectiveness of existing joint initiatives.
Particular emphasis was placed on the implementation of a strategically important educational project: the establishment of the Lu Ban Innovation Workshop at BNTU. This facility is designed to become a leading center for training highly qualified technical specialists according to international standards, allowing students to master the latest technologies and equipment.
The meeting confirmed the high level of trust and commitment to further strengthening academic and cultural ties between BNTU and representatives of the People's Republic of China.
