Representatives of BNTU awarded state awards

Yesterday, on May 4, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree awarding 58 representatives of various fields with orders, medals, and honorary titles. Representatives of BNTU are among those awarded. 

 For example, General Director of the BNTU Scientific and Technological Park "Politekhnik" Georgy Vershina was awarded the Order of Honor for his many years of fruitful scientific and pedagogical work and significant contribution to the training of engineering and technical personnel for the Republic of Belarus. During his work at BNTU and the Polytechnic Research and Technology Park, Georgy Aleksandrovich ensured the effective implementation of the state training program. Under Georgy Vershina's leadership, the Polytechnic Research and Technology Park of BNTU was awarded the title of "Manufacturer of the Year" based on the results of its activities in 2025.

Pavel Serenkov, Head of the Department of Standardization, Metrology, and Information Systems, will also be awarded the Order of Honour for his outstanding achievements in his professional career and significant personal contribution to the development and enhancement of the intellectual potential of the Belarusian youth. Pavel Stepanovich supports and develops the best traditions of the Belarusian higher technical school, and he is a leading scientist in the field of theoretical and scientific-applied problems of metrology, technical regulation, and engineering methods of quality management. In the period from 2021 to 2025, under his leadership, a number of projects were implemented to enhance the export potential of the country's enterprises, including the introduction of a metrological control system for electricity metering devices at Grodnoenergo, a set of metrological support programs for the laboratories of Babushkina Krynka OJSC, the provision of a robotic complex at the United Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and a decision support system for the developers of space technology components.

Igor Yankovsky, Deputy Head for Educational and Scientific Work and First Deputy Head of the Military Engineering Faculty, was awarded the President's Gratitude for his many years of fruitful teaching experience and significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Igor Nikolaevich is a recognized expert in the field of electrophysical methods of metal processing and officer training. He actively participates in research and publishing activities. The scientist has participated in more than 100 international and national scientific and technical conferences, has published over 80 papers, and has participated in 20 research projects. His work has been recognized with industrial implementation certificates and awards from international exhibitions and competitions. 

 The recognition of the achievements of the BNTU employees at such a high level is a result of their years of dedication to the development of innovation, science, and education in the country.

 The awards will be presented tomorrow, May 6. We congratulate Georgy Aleksandrovich, Pavel Stepanovich, and Igor Nikolaevich on their significant achievement and wish them further success and new professional heights!
