Daring, dancing and charisma: at BNTU the finalists of the "Mr. BNTU - 2026" competition were determined

Дерзость, танцы и харизма. В БНТУ определили финалистов конкурса «Мистер БНТУ – 2026»

On Thursday, April 16, the walls of the Belarusian National Technical University turned into a real arena, the weapon on which became male charm and talent. Here took place the selection stage of one of the brightest events of the year – the "Mr. BNTU - 2026" competition. This year, 37 guys from all faculties decided to compete for the right to wear this proud title.

As is tradition, the competition was organized by the primary trade union organization of BNTU students. The guys had to tell about themselves, demonstrate their fashion show skills, and impress the jury with their creative abilities.

This time, the right to determine who will make it to the final was given to Elena Makushchenko, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Maxim Kulik, Chairman of the Students' Public Relations Office, Pavel Mardanyan, finalist of "Mr. BNTU 2025," and Valeria Baranova, a specialist in the Department of Analytical and Advertising Activities at the Media Center.

 The casting process was intense and very interesting this year. Representatives from all faculties participated. We hope that the best of the best will make it to the finals,” said Alexandra Novik, Chair of the PGDEU Student Association.

The guys performed a wide range of acts, proving that being a Mr. means being a multifaceted individual. Some impressed the jury with their dance skills, others with their powerful voices, and still others with their witty sense of humor.

For example, Roman Golub, a second-year student at the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering, showcased not only his abilities and public speaking skills, but also his determination to win.

– I came here for the second time – the first time, in my freshman year, I didn't make it to the finals, but now I decided to try my luck again. I have a lot of motivation and positivity. At the casting, I will show the dance that my faculty danced at the BNTU Spring Festival. If I make it to the finals, I'll have a dance routine that I've come up with and kept in mind for a long time.

One of the participants, having come to the casting, decided to prove to everyone that he was capable of more. Dmitry Kushner, Chairman of the ITR students' association and a 3rd-year student at the Faculty of Information Technology, said the following:

– I have always been only the organizer of the competition, but now I want to participate and show myself and my abilities in an individual format. I will surprise the jury with my charisma, emotions, and cheerful mood.

 According to the jury's decision, the following students were selected as finalists:

  • Maxim Tkachenko (ITR);
  • Evgeny Lavrusik (ATF);
  • Andrey Svirepik (ATF);
  • Alexey Dudarenok (MTF);
  • Dmitry Ignatiev (AF);
  • Roman Soroko (IPF);
  • Roman Pavlyuchenko (FES);
  • Anton Lakiza (SF);
  • Alexander Terez (FTUG);
  • Roman Abramovich (VTF).

Congratulations to the finalists! You have already overcome the first and most difficult stage. We wish you success in your preparations and an interesting and eventful day.
