Yesterday, on April 24, 2026, the V Festival of National Cultures "World. Youth. Creativity". Polytechnic is a university that unites students from 55 countries of the world, and representatives of Belarus, Russia, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, China, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan demonstrated their culture and traditions at the holiday.
An exhibition was set up in the hall of the 11a assembly hall of the educational building: guests got acquainted with the cultures of different peoples of Asia, the Far East, and Africa, asked questions, and tasted national dishes. Then a gala concert was held in the assembly hall.
The rector of BNTU, Sergey Kharitonchik, gave a welcoming speech, calling the festival a unique chance to see the beauty of the cultures of many peoples.
— Good afternoon, dear participants. I am glad to see you all. I am very pleased that we are gathered in this hall and are having such a wonderful celebration. The world is very big, and it is inhabited by many different peoples, cultures, and traditions. At our university, we have a unique opportunity to see how different peoples and cultures come together, where they study and spend time together. We have the chance to witness various performances that represent the culture of each country. I believe that not only will this event be enjoyable, but it will also provide an opportunity for everyone to discover new things, as not everyone gets to witness such beauty and diversity of traditions. I wish all the participants to showcase their best abilities. Let your talents shine!
The symbolic start of the concert was the poem "My Native Land" in different languages, performed by Emilia Sazanchuk, Petr Dobchinsky, Svetlana Balabaeva, Mengli Serdarova, Muhammad Mahmudov, and Sayazam Davlatov. Each performance conveyed the atmosphere of the participants' homeland, and the audience actively supported the artists.
The Turkmen students delighted the audience with several performances. A heartfelt song was performed by Samir Dimitriev, and the fiery national dance "Kusht Depdi" was also presented. In addition, the audience heard a touching poem by Merjen Charyeva and a musical composition by Gulnabaat Diderova.
The Chinese participants also prepared a rich program. The duo of Lei Jun and Cun Xinhao performed the traditional dance "Long Wind Over the Steppe," while Wang Yawei performed a modern dance. Wang Zhan, in turn, impressed the audience with his vocal performance. The audience was particularly interested in the Chinese modern opera "Yujiu — Chaoyang Village" performed by Zhao Xiaohan. There was also a lyrical song performed by Li Yavan and Wang Hao.
Representatives of the Democratic Republic of the Congo showed energy on the stage: there was a rap performed by Kazadi Kabeya Jimmy, as well as the song "Wonderful" performed by Mapenzi Kitalano Beni. The audience appreciated the sincerity and drive of the African performers.
The Kazakhstani dance "Yerturan" immersed the audience in the steppe culture, while a group of Russian students presented the mystical performance "Mermaids," and Zimbabwe showcased its fiery dances and the song "Nemoyo." The highlight of the performance was the dance ensemble "Druzhba" from the Department of Culture. The concert concluded with a sense of unity. The vocal and pop studio "Vlyublennaya Dusha" delivered a heartfelt performance of the song "Odnaya Na Vsekh."
The festival has once again proved that creativity knows no borders, and youth and sincerity are understandable in any language. We thank everyone for the celebration and are confident that the warmth of friendship between our countries will only grow stronger.
