The future of engineering is nearby: BNTU student held a career guidance meeting in Luninets

Инженерное будущее рядом. Студент БНТУ провел профориентационную встречу в Лунинце

The event was led by Maxim Saiko, a student in group 10305222 of the Technological Equipment Department. Selecting a current student as the speaker allowed for a trusting and informative dialogue with potential applicants, providing detailed information about the specifics of the program, admissions rules, and the opportunities available to graduates of the department.

During his presentation, Maxim Saiko discussed in detail two key areas of study offered by the Technological Equipment Department:

  • Technological Equipment Engineering – a program focused on training specialists in the design, operation, and modernization of modern industrial complexes.
  • Computer-aided Design of Tool Systems – a program in which students master digital design methods for cutting and auxiliary tools, as well as process equipment, using specialized software.

A separate section was devoted to 3D modeling and computer-aided design (CAD) systems. The student clearly explained why the drawing board is no longer enough for a modern engineer – today, virtual prototypes, strength calculations, and product optimization before metal fabrication are a priority.

The department's laboratory facilities were also discussed: modern CNC machines, measuring systems, and industrial benches are available to students from their first years. "We don't just teach theory; we work with the same equipment used in real factories," Maxim emphasized.

A significant portion of the presentation was devoted to student research activities. Maxim Saiko informed the students about opportunities to participate in student conferences, national competitions, and other scientific events. It was noted that the Technological Equipment Department actively engages students in research projects aimed at solving current problems in the mechanical engineering industry.

At the end of the meeting, 11th-grade students received up-to-date information on admissions targets, application deadlines, passing scores from previous years, and the advantages of targeted training, which guarantees employment after graduation.

Career guidance meetings with BNTU students continue. The university places particular emphasis on collaboration with general secondary education institutions to attract motivated young people to engineering fields.
