On April 23, a round table on the topic "Support of the soul" was held at the Spiritual and Educational Center for Students of the Belarusian National Technical University.: how to resist addictions." The meeting was devoted to topical issues of prevention of bad habits among young people.
Priest Sergiy Faley, a cleric of the St. Elizabeth Convent in Minsk, acted as an invited expert and mentor. The format of the open dialogue allowed the students not only to listen to the information, but also to immerse themselves in the discussion of the spiritual and psychological mechanisms of addiction formation.
During the conversation, Father Sergius elaborated on the root causes of addiction and its destructive effect on a person's personality. The clergyman emphasized that true inner freedom is inextricably linked with personal responsibility for every choice made. Special attention was paid to the search for internal resources: ways to deal with everyday stress and the importance of finding support in spiritual values without resorting to illusory methods of avoiding reality were discussed.
The students actively joined the discussion and asked questions. The young people were concerned about practical and vital issues: how to competently resist negative pressure from the environment, where to look for reliable support in times of crisis and how to harmoniously combine the realities of the modern world with traditional moral guidelines.
Summing up the results of the round table, the participants noted that the meeting helped to look at the problem of addiction from a completely new perspective. The students received not only food for thought, but also practical advice on strengthening willpower and gaining self-confidence.
