Today, April 7, the gala concert of the "BNTU Spring 2026" student creativity festival concluded at the Belarusian National Technical University. Four days of competition and an evening that decided everything are behind us: dozens of talented BNTU students received diplomas and prizes in special categories, and the grand prize went to... We won't reveal all the details right away; let's go back a couple of hours to recap the festival's final event.
The evening kicked off with the appearance of beloved hosts Arina Kolesova and Nikita Shilov. True to tradition, they charged the audience with positive energy and prepared them for the festival's most memorable performances.
Slavic folk culture is rich in images of beautiful women in ethnic costumes and wreaths. One such beauty was a student from the Instrument Engineering Faculty. The vocalist's powerful yet gentle voice filled the entire hall and inspired melodies that made everyone reflect on their own memories. Performing part of the song a cappella, the artist completely captivated the audience.
Students from the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering managed to transport the audience back to the early 20th century. A saxophone, a pair of guitars, a synthesizer, and a drum—these are the ingredients for a perfect instrumental number. However, the talent of the musicians themselves was crucial: the young people captivated everyone with their charisma, leaving this creative performance etched in the memory of every audience member.
The artists from each faculty created a truly captivating atmosphere. Today, the audience even witnessed a chess game become a profound drama. The actors performed a true poem about power, forbidden passion, and betrayal. In this miniature performance, two worlds collided: the white kingdom, led by an unwavering king, and the dark side, where the queen symbolizes true strength. Behind the cold glitter of the crowns lurked a terrible secret—the black queen was leading her own game, dreaming of sharing the throne with the white king. The plot culminates in a furious battle in which the heroine, blinded by jealousy, kills her white rival. However, in the finale, the pathos of high tragedy gives way to bitter irony: all the great battles and passions turn out to be nothing more than a game in the hands of jesters.
Have you ever witnessed a court hearing that turned into a party? After attending the concert today, you can confidently answer, "Yes," because students from the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarian Studies did just that. Dressed in stylish outfits, the dancers demonstrated incredible energy, transforming the austere courtroom into the epicenter of dance. The students proved that their faculty knows how to manage not only technological processes but also the emotions of an entire audience.
The impressions of what they saw and heard will long be remembered by the students, BNTU staff, jury, and guests. Throughout the week, students from each faculty transformed the Polytechnic's main creative stage into entire worlds where the boldest ideas came to life: from vibrant oriental costumes and romantic stories to the terrifyingly eye-catching clown makeup and avant-garde touches in theatrical miniatures. And finally, it was time to announce the festival's winners.
Song Festival
The chairman of the competition day's jury, soloist of the Belarusian State Philharmonic, laureate of international competitions, recipient of the Francysk Skaryna Medal, and soloist of the National Academic Folk Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Zadorozhny, was invited to the stage to present the awards to the participants of the first competition day.

STEM Festival
As a reminder, director Natalia Koval, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work of the Faculty of Artistic Culture at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, was one of the judges for the second day of the competition. A Celebration of Instrumental Music
The chairman of the competition day's jury, Belarusian pop artist, international competition laureate, and virtuoso balalaika player Alexander Voronishche, took to the stage to present the prizes for the third day of the competition.

Second Place Diploma – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering;
Third Place Diploma – Faculty of Energy.
Alexander Voronishche helped maintain the festival's rhythm and energy. The star balalaika player performed popular tracks, giving the audience a second wind and preparing them for the announcement of the overall winners.
Overall Winners
BNTU Rector Sergey Kharitonchik announced the faculties that had won prizes based on the results of the four days and the video business card competition. This year, the overall winners were:
First-place diploma – Faculty of Power Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, and Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarian Studies;
Second-place diploma – Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Faculty of Instrument Engineering;
