BNTU Students Met with Grigory Azarenok at the Belarusfilm Film Studio

Студенты БНТУ встретились с Григорием Азаренком на киностудии «Беларусьфильм»

Yesterday, March 24, BNTU students and staff visited the Republican Unitary Enterprise "National Film Studio Belarusfilm." The event was organized by the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs in conjunction with the BNTU Student Trade Union.

The visit began in the studio's screening room, where Dmitry Semenov, the company's general director, introduced the university delegation to the film studio's history and modern facilities. In his speech, the director noted that Belarusfilm today is not only a unique historical and cultural center but also a high-tech platform uniting feature, animation, and documentary film studios. The students were particularly drawn to the presentation of the studio's facilities, including unique filming studios, warehouses containing thousands of game weapons, and costumes from various eras.

The meeting continued with an open dialogue with Belarusian TV presenter, journalist, and political commentator Grigory Azarenok. Addressing the audience, the speaker touched on the deep historical roots of Belarusian cinema, recalling the studio's status as "Partizanfilm," which owes its legacy to the heroic past of our people. During the conversation, the participants discussed philosophical and ethical issues, touching on historical truth and the continuity of generations.

Particular emphasis was placed on the role of technological progress in today's reality. Grigory Yuryevich discussed with the students the specifics of artificial intelligence and modern information technology, emphasizing that no algorithms can replace critical thinking and personal responsibility for the fate of one's country.

The discussion concluded with a screening of the documentary "The Soul of a Defender," directed by Grigory Azarenok himself. The film is dedicated to those who ensure the security of the Republic of Belarus today: from distinguished veterans to young soldiers and women who chose to serve in the Armed Forces. Answering students' questions about the film's main message, the author emphasized the importance of masculine character, discipline, and the willingness to defend one's home and the peaceful skies above.

Documentary footage of the everyday life of the Belarusian army and the heartfelt stories of the film's characters resonated with viewers, serving as a vivid example of devotion to duty. A visit to the film studio allowed future specialists not only to peer behind the scenes of cinema but also to gain a new understanding of the significance of creative work for the benefit of an our country.
