On Saturday, February 21, 2026, a career guidance seminar "The Path to Success: Engineering Education Trajectories" was held at Secondary School No. 40 in Mogilev. During the seminar, students from engineering, pedagogical, and sports classes met with representatives of the Belarusian National Technical University to promote engineering education, assist students in choosing an engineering profession, and inform applicants about the pathways to admission to the Polytechnic University.

For reference, the career guidance event was organized by the Mogilev State Regional Institute of Education.

Natalia Afanasyeva, Director of the Institute of Integrated Forms of Education and Educational Monitoring, Evgeny Ponomarenko, Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Sergey Skirkovsky, Dean of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, Yaroslav Potachits, Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Technology, Elena Grinevich, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work at the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, and Yulia Susha, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work at the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy, all participated as speakers from BNTU.

Mikhail Zhudro, Rector of the Mogilev State Regional Institute of Education Development, delivered a welcoming speech. He noted that an important aspect of the event is the promotion of engineering education and the provision of assistance to students of general secondary education institutions in choosing an engineering profession.

The meeting was held in an interactive format. Natalia Afanasyeva presented a presentation on the general issues of admission to BNTU, its educational programs, and unique opportunities for development. The representatives of the faculties focused on the demand for specialists with technical, pedagogical, and sports education in the modern labor market.

The students asked questions about the specifics of engineering, pedagogical, sports, and technical activities, as well as the conditions for admission and study at BNTU. The students engaged in interesting discussions with representatives of the faculties, who shared their personal experiences. Many students expressed their interest in applying to BNTU, noting that such meetings help them determine their future career path.

It is also worth noting that representatives of the BNTU visited the Mogilev State Electrotechnical College, where a meeting was organized with graduates of vocational and secondary specialized education in Mogilev to promote higher technical education in the correspondence form. In addition to career guidance, the university representatives visited the college's laboratories of electric drive, electrical equipment for computer-controlled machines, electrical machines and devices, electrical equipment for enterprises and civil buildings, and the room of relay protection and automation.

At the end of the event, the BNTU representatives presented the students with memorable gifts and promotional booklets with detailed information about the university's faculties.
