How dormitory #8 celebrated Maslenitsa in one evening

Как в общежитии № 8 Масленицу за один вечер встретили

On Friday, February 20, 2026, a Maslenitsa event was held in Dormitory No. 8. The hosts warned from the start: there wouldn't be a dull moment. And indeed, the program was as packed as seven days of a real Maslenitsa.

It all started with "The Meeting" – guests were welcomed, sweet prizes were handed out, and everyone immediately immersed in the festive atmosphere.

Next came "The Flirt." Instead of mummers, there was a quiz. The audience eagerly guessed riddles about pancakes, the sun, samovars, and Maslenitsa traditions. Whoever raised their hand the fastest received well-deserved applause and prizes.

"The Sweet Tooth" (Wednesday) turned out to be unusual. Two volunteers took the stage to become the "tastiest morsels" in the audience. The goal was to borrow items directly from the audience: scarves, hats, glasses, belts – anything was put to use. The costumes turned out quite spectacular. The winner was chosen by applause.

Thursday – "Razgulya" (Revelry). Traditionally, this day involves a test of strength. Four brave souls performed push-ups in the dorm. Was it really "the strongest" for nothing? The competition was fair, the score loud, and the winner proud.

Friday was supposed to feature "Mother-in-Law's Evenings" and pancakes. But the organizers went even further: since they had no time to bake real pancakes, they made them out of plasticine. Three participants created true masterpieces in eight minutes: filled, colorful, and in various shapes. It was a shame to tear such beauty apart.

Saturday – "Sister-in-Law's Get-Togethers" – brought everyone together in a large circle. With markers in hand, the kids completed the hosts' tasks, and in the end, the two most persistent remained – the true winners of the folk pastimes.

And the finale was Sunday, "Forgiveness Day." Instead of the traditional burning of an effigy, they held a lottery and fortune-telling. Everyone drew a piece of paper with a wish: some received warm words, others a sweet prize. The atmosphere was warm and cheerful.

The evening ended with everyone exchanging good wishes. Maslenitsa in Dormitory No. 8 was a success. It was noisy, fun, and heartfelt. Thank you to everyone who came, laughed, participated, and made this celebration possible. We've seen off winter—now spring is definitely on its way!
