The atmosphere of celebration and miracles. BNTU hosted a Christmas ball for students

Атмосфера праздника и чудес. В БНТУ прошел Рождественский бал студентов

On December 19, the Belarusian National Technical University was filled with mesmerizing melodies and happy smiles, as the 8th academic building hosted a Christmas Ball of students dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Polytechnic University. The holiday brought together all those who performed well in the creative and social life of the university throughout the year. For one evening, each of them plunged into a real winter fairy tale.

The story doesn't begin until its characters appear, so the beginning of the ball was marked by the students coming out with the first dance.

Then Rector Sergey Kharitonchik officially launched the event.:

– I am very pleased to be present at the student ball today. Indeed, it has become a tradition to hold a nice, beautiful holiday before Christmas and New Year, where you are all dressed up, beautiful and in a good mood. Of course, first of all, I would like to congratulate you on our recent holiday, the 105th anniversary of our university. This is a really big date, we are already mature, adults, we can say, so we already have a history, a wealth of experience and we have something to be proud of.

Sergey Vasilyevich also congratulated the students on the upcoming New Year and wished them success in the upcoming session:

– The most beautiful holiday of the year is coming soon. We all are waiting for different holidays, but everyone is waiting for the New Year, because, probably, the dream of waiting for magic and miracle, the arrival of Santa Claus and  the Snow Maiden remains. We are waiting for all the best. Therefore, on the eve of this holiday, I wish you good health, wish all your dreams to come true, wish your studies to go  the way you want, wish you to become qualified specialists and for your work place to meet your expectations. Wish your whole life develops the way you plan it for yourself. Well, as Rector, what else can I wish you? The exam session is ahead. Pass it smoothly!

This evening, not only the flowing notes of a waltz could be heard in the hall, but also the loud laughter of the participants of the celebration, congratulations from Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, as well as the clatter of heels during the fervent round dances. In order for the guys to regain their strength without leaving the holiday, the organizers prepared a buffet with a variety of treats and drinks, which allowed them to stay in the epicenter of events without interruption and maintain a festive mood.

As we wrote earlier, the main characters of the evening are students, so all the honors and congratulations were addressed to them. Also, according to the established tradition, a number of awards were held at the ball.
