On December 11, 2025, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed bylaw No. 183rp "On Encouraging talented young Scientists." The fellows include 9 doctors of sciences up to 45 years old, 27 candidates of sciences up to 35 years old and 20 young researchers without a degree up to 30 years old. They represent a wide range of fields: from physics, mathematics and engineering to humanities and medical sciences.
In total, 56 talented young Belarusian scientists have been awarded scholarships by the President of Belarus for 2026, 7 of them, or 12.5%, work at the Belarusian National Technical University. We tell you in detail about each scholarship holder.
Anastasia Lapuka
Anastasia Lapuka, an assistant at the Department of Technological Equipment, was awarded a scholarship for developing new designs for bionic-shaped movable terrace and rear columns based on ultra-high-strength polymer concrete for a group of vertical drilling, milling and boring machines that increase machine rigidity by 2 times and reduce its axial deformations by 4 times.
Artem Litvinko
Artyom Litvinko, Head of the laboratory of the BNTU branch of the Polytechnic Research Institute, is also among the fellows. A high award was given to him for the development of technology and equipment for hot briquetting of ferrous metal waste, ensuring a reduction in the energy-intensity parameters of the hot briquetting process, reducing tool wear and improving the quality of briquettes.
Dmitry Lukashevich
Dmitry Lukashevich, Senior Researcher at the BNTU Polytechnic Science and Technology Park, received an award for developing methods for monitoring the technical and speed-strength fitness of highly qualified rowing athletes using intelligent sensor systems to automate the process of collecting, processing and analyzing biomechanical and physiological movement patterns, ensuring effective preparation of national teams of the Republic of Belarus for competitions at various levels.
Olga Nemerovets
Olga Nemerovets, a senior lecturer at the Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Energy Construction, Water Transport and Hydraulics, also received a well-deserved award for developing a comprehensive methodology for preventing an emergency in a hydroelectric facility, including methods for determining reservoir overflow, destruction of a ground dam and determining the boundaries of flooding areas behind a hydraulic facility.
Alesya Staselovich
Alesya Staselovich, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Intelligent and Mechatronic Systems, received the award for developing a new approach to creating highly sensitive nanosensors for a wide range of applications through quantum mechanical modeling of the electronic properties of low-dimensional structures based on the use of a new class of nanomaterials – oxide compounds of rare earth elements.
Dmitry Stepanenko
Dmitry Stepanenko, Professor of the Department of Device Design and Manufacture, was awarded a scholarship for the development of the theory of ultrasonic acoustic systems, the development of new methods for calculating and designing waveguides for ultrasonic welding, the treatment of skin tumors and peripheral arterial thrombosis, and the scientific substantiation of new designs of ultrasonic actuators and concentrators.
Mikhail Kholod
Mikhail Kholod, Head of the Department of Physical Education, received an award for developing an analytical expert system based on artificial intelligence technologies to personalize and dynamically adjust student motor activity programs that enhance physical fitness and motivate young people to exercise regularly.
Congratulations to our young scientists and wish them further development in their fields of activity!
