Experiments of young researchers at the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering

Эксперименты юных исследователей на факультете горного дела и инженерной экологии

Young researchers from secondary school No. 108 in Minsk (http://sch108.minsk.edu.by/) continued to conduct experiments with selected water samples from reservoirs in Minsk.

Under the guidance of experienced teachers of the Department of Engineering Ecology, Elizaveta Tishkovskaya and Victoria Labusova, the students learned important scientific methods, studied the fundamental principles of physics and chemistry, and developed their powers of observation and scientific approach. During the experiments, the students received data for a comparative analysis of sanitary and hygienic parameters of cultural and household water samples.

For reference: sanitary and hygienic analysis of waters is an important tool for maintaining human health and ecological balance and is used for the following purposes: assessing water quality, monitoring the condition of water bodies, developing environmental protection measures, evaluating the effectiveness of wastewater treatment plants, ensuring the hygienic safety of the population, maintaining ecological balance.
