Today, on October 2, the III CIS and EAEU Youth Forum started in Minsk, which brought together more than 100 young leaders from seven countries. Students of the Belarusian National Technical University are among the active participants of the event.
For reference: The forum annually gathers representatives of Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to discuss current challenges and develop solutions for the sustainable development of the region.
This year, BNTU students are participating in four areas at once:
The program includes panel discussions, strategic sessions, foresight tracks, and cultural events.
– The Forum is a unique opportunity not only to present our university, but also to communicate with active youth from other countries, exchange ideas and find like–minded people. It is especially inspiring that we participate in several areas at once, from science to media. I would like to spend these days as productively as possible and contribute to the common future of youth cooperation, – said Alexander Malashko, Chairman of the BNTU Student Council.
In the morning, the participants honored the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland by laying flowers at the stele "Minsk is a hero City" and visiting the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.
After that, the grand opening of the forum took place at the National Children's Technopark. Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Ivanets welcomed the guests and participants:
– These days of the forum will be a good opportunity to get to know each other and exchange opinions on the issues that interest every young person today. Of course, this is education and science, this is youth in the media space, this is the digital agenda and, of course, the implementation of the ideas that you have.We've done our best to ensure that, in addition to dialogue platforms, panel discussions, and meetings, you can get to know our country, its history, and culture, and see once again how friendly, peaceful, and open Belarus is.
BNTU creative groups and renowned Belarusian artists performed on the stage of the National Children's Technopark, inspiring the forum participants and fostering a sense of cultural unity. Musical and dance performances, filled with energy and national flavor, became a true highlight of the day.
Participants have two action-packed days of the forum ahead, where everyone will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge and reveal their potential. The program includes a webinar, "Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Threats," panel discussions on selected tracks, master classes, interactive platforms, and foresight sessions with the country's top speakers.
We wish BNTU students spend their time productively, broaden their horizons, establish useful contacts and contribute to the development of youth cooperation in the CIS and the EAEU.
