BNTU delegation took part in the Belarusian-Chinese youth forum

Делегация БНТУ приняла участие в Белорусско-китайском молодежном форуме

Today, June 26, the Belarusian-Chinese Youth Forum, which was held at the Belarusian State University, ended. Representatives of the Belarusian National Technical University also took part in the event.

For reference: Belarus was represented at the forum by BNTU, BSU, Minsk State Linguistic University, Belarusian State University of Economics, Belarusian State Medical University, Belarusian-Russian University, Gomel State University named after F. Skaryna, Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov, Brest State University named after A. S. Pushkin, China was represented by 11 universities, including Beijing University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Pedagogical University, University named after Sun Yat-sen, South-East University, etc.

The forum was opened with a formal ceremony of laying flowers at the stele "Minsk - Hero City". Rector Sergei Kharitonchik and Head of the Department for Training of Higher-Category Scientific Personnel Irina Ustinovich took part in the event on the part of  the Belarusian National Technical University.

Then, the opening ceremony of the forum was held at the National Children's Technopark. Welcoming speeches were made by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich, First Deputy of  Minister of Education Alexander Bakhanovich, Rector of BSU Andrei Korol, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Zhang Wenchuan, Vice-Rector of Beijing University Ning Zsi and Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education of Belarus Anastasia Kiselevich.

They noted the mission of the forum - strengthening common views on the future, developing internal potential and abilities, as well as maintaining warm relations between the two countries to pass them on to future generations. The speakers also emphasized the uniqueness of the event and its role in supporting talented students and young scientists, because the forum provides an opportunity for further development and integration with the global scientific community.

One of the significant events was the exhibition of innovative developments of young researchers from the two countries. The presented scientific works were aimed at solving problems in the field of medicine and veterinary science, space, IT, linguistics and industry. Thus, the project "Development of a universal electric driving part of an electric car" was presented by BNTU students Ilya Gornak, Pavel Faley, Valery Nevertovich and Diana Dudko.

The forum included a round table discussion on “Experience of Belarusian and Chinese Universities in Working with Talented Young People and Implementing Youth Initiatives”, in which Irina Ustinovich took part on behalf of Belarus, as well as a foresight session on “Strategic Vision and Priorities for Cooperation between Young Scientists of the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China”. At the session, Ekaterina Korsak, senior lecturer at the Department of Economics and Organization of Energy of the Faculty of Energy, presented her report on “Interaction in the Work of Young Scientists of BNTU with Universities of the People’s Republic of China”.

At the end of the session, the participants signed agreements on further cooperation between the two countries.

We congratulate the representatives of BNTU on a fruitful time spent and wish them further success in their scientific and professional activities.
