When friends share joy

Когда друзья разделяют радость

A recent article was published in an Uzbek newspaper about congratulations from Sergey Kharytonchyk, Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University, addressed to Sadritdin Turabdzhyanov, Rector of the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU) and academician. In this letter, he expressed his joy over the historic achievement of the Uzbekistan national football team, which qualified for the World Cup finals for the first time.

– This brilliant victory fills us with pride for our brotherly people of Uzbekistan. It has become a true gift to the Republic of Uzbekistan during the blessed days of Kurban Hayit and has shown by example that dreams can come true through hard work, unity, and determination,Sergey Vasilyevich noted in his letter

Cooperation between the Belarusian National Technical University and the Tashkent State Technical University has been strengthening every year. It began back in 2018 and today covers all aspects of academic and scientific activities: joint educational programs are being implemented, mutual “summer schools” are organized, student and faculty exchanges take place for studies and internships, and joint educational, scientific, and cultural events are held.

A vivid example of the universities’ collaboration was the establishment in March 2020 of the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications. In 2022, a Belarusian Culture Center was opened at TSTU. Currently, 30 students are enrolled in joint programs between BNTU and TSTU.

It is worth noting that over the years of fruitful cooperation, TSTU has become not just a partner but a true friend to BNTU. This holds special significance for the development of Belarusian-Uzbek relations.
