Immersion in History: Impressions of Preparatory Department Students from Zimbabwe at the "Road to Victory" Exhibition

Погружение в историю: впечатления слушателей подготовительного отделения из Зимбабве от выставки «Дорога к Победе»

On May 30 unique exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory was held at the Minsk International Exhibition Center. The "Road to Victory" exhibition was a large-scale project covering the key stages of the Great Patriotic War, from the Nazi Germany invasion of the Soviet Union to the liberation of Belarus and Europe. Students of the preparatory department from Zimbabwe participated in this significant event, having the opportunity to immerse themselves in the historical atmosphere.

A particularly striking impression was made by the reconstruction of a forest partisan camp, where unique samples of wartime weapons, personal letters from frontline soldiers, and household items that helped soldiers survive in difficult conditions were displayed. The exhibition allowed students not only to see authentic historical artifacts but also to feel the spirit of resistance that united people in the fight for freedom.

State-of-the-art multimedia technologies integrated into the exhibition became an important part of visitors' experiences. Holograms, information terminals, and interactive zones helped students from Zimbabwe not only learn facts but also experience the emotions that accompanied war participants. The information screens and the opportunity for a virtual hoisting of the Victory Banner over the Reichstag attracted special interest.

Visiting the "Road to Victory" exhibition was a real journey into the past for the students of the preparatory department from Zimbabwe. They were able to vividly see the heroic pages of history and feel the importance of remembering the Great Patriotic War. The interactive technologies, rich exhibition content, and cultural program made this event unforgettable and deeply impactful.
