Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War! Dear colleagues, teachers, employees and students!
I sincerely congratulate you on the Great Victory Day – a holiday that will forever remain in our hearts as a symbol of the indomitable will, courage and heroism of our people!
This year we celebrate a special date – the eightieth anniversary of the Victory. For the Belarusian people, this is not just a historical date – it is a sacred memory of those who gave their lives for our future, of those who survived the years of occupation, of those who restored the destroyed country from ruins.
Each of us is responsible for ensuring that the feat of our ancestors is never forgotten. The memory of the events of those years is our moral duty and the basis of national identity. Today, the issues of preserving historical truth are at the center of state policy. These principles are enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and form a moral guideline for every citizen.
An important step in uniting the Belarusian people is to form a sense of pride for their country and its history, to pass on to the younger generation the truth about the war and the price of Victory. BNTU makes a worthy contribution to this work - we educate patriots, conduct scientific research, preserve and study historical facts, and participate in patriotic events.
I would like to express special words of gratitude to the veterans. You are not just witnesses of history – you are its heroes! Your courage, resilience and example inspire us every day. You have shown the whole world what it means to be a true patriot of your country, how important it is to protect your native land and maintain peace.
Dear students! May the memory of the heroic deed of our people become for you a moral compass, a source of strength and inspiration in your future achievements. May the history of the Great Patriotic War teach you to appreciate the peace, independence and unity of our country.
On this significant day, I wish everyone good health, prosperity and a peaceful sky above their heads! May the memory of the Great Victory always unite us, serve as a source of strength and inspiration for new achievements for the benefit of our Motherland!
Sincerely, Rector S. Kharytonchyk
